yo yo yo! happy holidays!
well....so we hit the stage @ lees palace on thurday night....me personally with some trepidation as my voice was still on the comeback trail due to a cold....i had been drinking lemon honey tea for days trying to get it back into reasonable shape aswell as going over multiple vocal warm up exercises....thankfully!!! i think it paid off i had few crackles but nothing to bad.....on top of it ron the sound guy there made us sound great...thanks ron.
.......many thanks goes out to the awesome!!!crowd..... i think you guys spirited out one of our best performances to date on what was probably one of the longest sets weve played...we opened up with "now" followed by "sunflower eyes" the old one two from the record and then sort of got lost in the songs from there i really dont remember too much of the show it just seemed to happen...what i do remember is that my energy was way up that is almost always attributed to the audience...definitely a great transfer of energy...so overall the show was a success the boys had very little to say on the negative end of course we hit a few bum chords which always is the case...hey its live rock'n'roll.
also many thanks to grand pm alcona and my personal favourite national sound you guys were fantastic...after the show we all went upstairs to the dance cave we we continued to revel....shit the they play great music up there...i had my dancing shoes on......
stayed @ a friends that night i love a good snow storm what was really cool was that there were thunder storms in the snow storm fucking brilliant ....oh yeah band of the month for me just got turned onto them are these guys out manchester called "elbow" and there latest album is called "leaders of the freeworld" all i can say is wow! check them out!
....last night were in the hammer @ a place called the pepper jack cafe cool spot not exactly the largest crowd we have played to....so it goes... played a few numbers from the pullie project to kick off the set a new one in there to called "blankets me with love"...nothing to exciting to report on our show except maybe a warning to not play a rock show in knee high rubber boots....... we played with this band called "birdseyeingit" a sort of jazzy soul type band whose singer in my opinion is on her way to taking over the world they are quite a young band but they are tight! the singer of the band is a young lady i believe her name is sarah and she has to be the most purely beautiful girl i may have ever laid my eyes on and the voice on this girl was fucking heavenly i really was blown away i really cant say enough... on stage she exudes this childlike purity with the sex appeal of a woman and the smile of an angel...lets put it this way it probably took a 1/3 of a song for everybody in that place to fall in love with her men and women alike ......if you ever hear or see that bands name around do yourself a favour go and see this star on the rise!!!
check them out @ www.birdseyeingit.com
