horseshoegig eve, happy! love to play !especially at the shoe had a really good rehearsal tonight,however there was some conflict polite conflict over the set list thats the only problem when playing a show that your not headlining......time! we only have a half an hour to play and we have about an hours worth of songs so having the time constraint sucks, so we labour over the songs which ones we have to cut which ones to keep its tough cause they are my babies and i dont want any of them to feel neglected, but hell thats the way it goes so then we narrow the songs down ok now thats done now what order do we want them, essentially we want to come in with a bang you know get peoples attention bring it down very gradually to the middle and then start the climb to a big banging finish so after some deliberation and then some more deliberation after all we are a democracy we came out with a set list that pleases us and that will hopefully please our listners, we cut some of the slower stuff , this will be a more rockin show in a nice tight little package, have added a new song called "doesnt matter" thats a tentative title. we like it ! yeah so were pumped, i believe im going to have to let it all go tommorow night i forsee some after show revelling yup its true, in other thoughts i hope we get a good turn out its always so much more fun crave the enrgy transfer, any body ever listen to art bell? man i love that shit .yeah im all over the place i know that this is how my brain works, been writing like a freak lately lots of ideas are flooding my head ilove it when that happens, were opening for a band on the 11th at lees palace called round2 cool songs i really like the song "she" check them out at round2music.com, and then check them out after us on feb 11th ok bye

was out with my manager dana last night and her friend and now my friend dana yes 2 of them the second dana is pronounced dan ah, any how went to the horseshoe to check out sunriser and staggered crossing, had plans to go check this show it for about a week, then yesterday at about 5pm i got a call from dana who said she had arranged a show for us opening for a band called round 2 and hey sunriser weird i thought cause these guys were on the bill last night, show was great all of the bands were super, met the guys from sunriser seem like cool dudes, pints flowed met chris our bass player there aswell and some other friends followed, good people good times, from there we went to a new bar called ultra really nice place bumped into shane corson there gave him the dunes sales pitch and a card, yes shameless self promotion, and the night didnt finish then, we ended up at the after hours matador yyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!!!!!!ran into some more friends there this place is a zoo a fun zoo if you have never been you must go!
got out of there around 4am to a friends wound down the evening with some tunes happy days,
when your out with good people you cant help but have a good time, i would officially like to thank the two danas for a great night its not often i get to walk around the city with a beautiful girl on each arm , i could definitely get used to it though,fun hanging with positive people skys the limit,
so yeah we got a another show lined up details to follow horseshoe this thursday night studio tommorow some friends of mine are having a party tonight im feeling a bit soft at the moment think i need a night off maybe a little writing im feeling inspired got to run with that feeling when it hits so thats me out!!!

four tracking some song ideas lately back into the studio this weekend for a good long session, off to rehearsal tonight we are working on some new songs for the horseshoe show, 3 part harmonies the whole nine, whats with people who are unclear? those people are annoying the piss out of me these days, and guess what im sure im one of them sometimes, but as we all know its easier to identify others who carry these traits rather than seeing them in yourself, people see what they want to see like an accident scene lets say 5 people witness an accident, they all seem to see it differently, i guess through our windows life is formulated percieved rather in our own unique way, maybe im rambling again thats just what i do if were actually talking right now i would probably be mumbling, right then ok .......i think im finished for today

so we didnt win!oh well maybe next year there were some pretty good songs in the contest, alot of r and b stuff which i thought was a little odd, so i was listening and yes i know it was a long shot as the countdown progressed i knew the odds were slimming but for some reason i always held onto a small bit of hope right to the end and then i guess it wasnt to be, but not to worry i got right back on the horse went out to scruffy murphys jam night where the crown jewels were playing always a good time, played a few covers hit me baby one more time went off!!!!!!!the drummer jeremy was doing alot of backing vocals the crowd ate it up stayed for to many beers and extras but thats the way it goes sometimes and sometimes it goes the other way, rambling but that last line is from some song i think,ok got to go

hey went to see a great band last night called silent seymour at a place called b-sides really cool shit!!!!!!!!was very impressed, made a few new friends there aswell, from there headed to the horseshoe to catch the final act i believe was called jughead some crazy full stage there was probably 15 people up there banjos washboards people playing bottles a virtual smorgesboard (im sure thats spelt wrong) of musical fun, a real show!i mean thats what you want isnt it a show? im gonna make a concsious effort to put on a great show. how? im not sure yet, but the wheels are in motion. ran into the kip and brian the horseshoe and lees palace sound guys good guys great sound technicians, today have a band meeting at 3 then rehearsal tonight, ive been making some recordings on my 4 track have plans to put a very raw little solo album of some old and some new stuff this is my project 4 the next couple of months, the problem when im recording is that my ear gets super sensitive and i never seem to be satisfied with a take, so .....the recording process can take awhile .....................so it goes
oh yeah!!!!!!!!almost forgot there were some rappers jamming at b-sides at the end of the night and i had just enough heniekens to go up and as they say kick-it!!!!!doing some old school big daddy kane raw these guys im sure were going who the hell is this white guy and what the hell does he think hes doing up here, they were cool dudes though, the band i believe is called oddities and they have an album out called the scenic route

hey good weekend from what i can remember was at a birthday party sunday afternoon which got messy
stinkin drunk a good 12 hour session of debotchery, according to some sources there are lots of stories to tell .i apologize to anyone i may of offended , some of my friends sure dont seem to act like they are, so it goes and hell nobodys perfect anyway i believe i am entitled to an evening of excess once and awhile so as some say fuck em if they cant take a joke!!!!!

in other news the mix 99.9 songwriting contest in which we are entered in will be playing the top ten songs this sunday night at 10-11pm, its gonna be one of those ..is that it damn! is that it damn! but who knows you dont try you dont get we could certainly use the money, i need a holiday ..............mexico i need you can you hear me mexico i can hear you whats that youre saying i know you miss me i miss you to
