Turned out Fridays Kitchener show was a double session the frist at the circus room with perrys faultline and macro fiesta "really big party" which was for me honestly not my best i had some monitor issues where i wasnt able to hear much of anything and with out a sound guy there...there was nothing that could be done....with that being said i believe we still cranked out a good show the response was very receptive...played a new song called "ive been" and some old favourites ...thanks to all the dancers maddy etc.
The second show was at members of macro fiestas place where we all had a good ol red wine fuelled jam til the wee hours of the morning...that was fun!

I was down at the Horseshoe last night went to catch our friends The Ride Theory they were playing thier tour kick off show....i love the shoe i really do i actually remember many years ago going in there my first time all this rock n roll energy surrounding me checking out the people and watching bands thinking to myself wow!...this place is pretty cool and then wasnt long after that i was on that stage and then years go by and while its always a great thing to play there the novelty value fades i guess thats life you know things are all so relative to what youre used to.....i recommend getting out of your comfort zone..its so gratifying to get over these humps in life by facing these "well i cant do that's" and just doing them cause you usually find out that "shit!...that really wasnt that hard"....they say that you are what your doing in life...get it? Fuck! what am i doctor phil all of a sudden?
Right so the TRT fucking killed last night i was down with my friend and she said to me "why have you been keeping these guys from me for so long" in other words she loved it...there was some great energy in that room...im sure they are the tightest band i know ....killer musicians! Do yourself a favour if these guys come to your town go check them out you wont be disapointed.

Off to blow the roof off of the circus room (Kitchener) tonight with our friends perrys faultline and the dominant macro fiesta ching ching!

heres something

tueday night poem

reality blurs sometimes,
is it smiling right now?
in through the curves and out through the pipeline
the same water gushes, bringing flushes and folds

opinions set in cement! 12 inches thick!
"i said i know of what i say"
but yet they're only words
"i said i know of what i say!"
but still they are only words
perception is the safe that the world cannot crack
for history and our mystery exist's to hold us back

honesty is the lone oasis in life! (a love breeder)
something that we all recognize.........always!
we know "true" because we can feel it
an honest smile!
a lift! a ride! a gate! a bridge!
stands up top of the pile!
keeps time like a clock!
meets up like a corner!
floats!fly's!sings!..

...............and most importantly.......brings!
what we need
cause the road is slippery and the slope is steep!
and we're all shopping for traction

Day 2 of the Dewey beach music conference was a really good time i dont remember much of it ...however i remember waking up sunday with no shoes at the side of the hotel......lying on a pile of leaves that some higher power left there for me.......(thanks higher power)
Today....today...i dont feel that great but this too shall pass......go out and buy our cd...yeah thats an order

SOCIALIZING w/LIFE

The Dunes

(Curve Music)

*** 1/2 (out of five)

Give The Dunes this much - they're pretty serious about making a good first impression.

Rather than release their debut indie CD as is and see where the chips fall, the Toronto band polished up and remastered Socializing w/Life. Result? A bigger, better version of an already bad-ass disc. In a crowded field of hot new Toronto bands, they already have a leg up on the competition.

The 10 songs sway nicely from hard rock to heartfelt, with the new production punching up the meaty guitars and Kevin Pullen's spacey voice.

Rowdy beer hall rock like Do It All the Time and Calling All Cars stand out immediately, but the band sounds just as good dialing it down on Hurry Up and the slow dance specialty The Easiest.

Gimmicks still can't beat good tunes and a good game plan.
