I really have been sucking on the blogs i know, havent really been bearing my soul as i sometimes might. Ive had no chance to ive been begging for changenthe street corners and eating franks and beans and rolling my own cigarettes. The life of a songwriter fucking brilliant!!! Funny thing is i have almost learned how to survive on pennies a day and come across to people that im not really a bum. Also i now get offended when homeless people ask me for money because depending on the day they usually have more than me . Anyhow things can only go up from here. The good news is that the record is finished and we go down to the studio 2morrow for a couple of days to have a listen and basically take things out or maybe add a little spice here and there before the final mix. Im really fucking excited about it. Its taken along time to get here but here i am and here it comes. Again i think its a pretty dynamic album which is what we/i do but its, i think miles away from socializing w/ life. I think personally my writing has evolved and of course its basically a different band. There is no release date set as of yet but, as soon as i know i will let you know.

Played in Waterloo on wednesday with or friends Vacuity great band and even better guys and there girlfriends are awesome aswell. Our Show to me wasnt that great we hadnt had rehearsals since the Great Hall show so i felt a bit rusty and when i feel rusty i cant really deliver a show with my full passion, however Vacuity was stellar check them out www.vacuity.net you will like and then go out and by thier record and love it...its that simple. We ended up staying down there that night spent most of it at thier after party drinking, discussing conspiracy theories, singing, playing and carrying on (and im pretty sure i just talked and talked and wouldnt shut up, apparently thats what i do), they are nice people to do that with....very genuine and thats hard to find these days ...anywhere! Not much sleep was had and me and Lucky stayed at Johnny and Nikkis place and took the Greyhound back to T.O. the next afternoon, glamorous huh? Pete Nema Toronto rock photographer extrodanaire came down and took loads of phots and when he gets we will plost em...or post em. The future right now is wide open. I like it like that.

goodnight

You need to see this

Sunday, March 09, 2008

Well we just played CMW and i got to share the stage with a legend....i sang "the shape im in" and "chest fever" supporting Garth Hudson of the band...yes i said "the band" a spiritual unforgettable moment that will be with me until the day that i die. I had a chance to hang with Garth and his wife Maud just awesome warm people really so cool and down to earth. When we left the stage i gave Garth a hug and he winked at me and in a tongue and cheek way he said to me "lets get a band together and go out on the road" this memory will not soon be forgotten. Cheers Garth!

Heres some video footage and some pics compliments of Maureen Smith and Peter Katz. Btw Peter Katz and his band are pretty awesome talented people check them out. PeterKatz.com

In the vid you see me on the left doing backing vocals for about 3 secs but just check out Garth doing his thing. I think John has a vid of me Singing "chest fever" i will post it when i can.
