so friday night rolls around and were in the opening slot at the "shoe" not idealy where we want to be but we accepted this with some trepidation ....the problem with an opening slot is that although it was an equally billed show some people might get the impression that we are new or we suck or something like that and some times its tough to get people out to these early shows.........with all that being the said mountains were again made over mole hills by yours truly @945 we took the stage and the place was full now we hadnt played in the toronto area for awhile but shit this was way better than i thought it might be so firtsly thanks so much for coming we were overwhelmed by the turn out and secondly thanks for being such a great crowd lively in fact rowdy at some points....the transfer of energy in that room was brilliant we were definitly feeling the flow and based on crowd feedback our new songs went over well bottom line a big crowd = a good show for us we all agreed that was probably our most fun and energetic show to date....n ow then this to be adressed after we finiished our last tune the chants started coming in for an encore big time which was fucking great and i must say i was torn on whether to do another tune being that we were in the opening slot its never the best etiquette to do this...so in those 30 to 45 seconds in which we decided to do it i asked the guy at the side of the stage who believed to be the bass player of the next band if it was cool and he said yes this coupled with the fact that you have to give the audience what they want was the game breaker so we did and hopefully it didnt piss off the other bands too much i hope they understood if not oh well wedont play for other musicians we play to the fans....so thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!

allo allo allo well yes its true i havent posted in such a long time been busy procrastinating however lots has been happening some good some bad so it goes

first off matt barnett is no longer playing drums for us which is kinda sucks but at the same time if ones heart isnt fully into something than i think pulling away is a good idea....since the start of this band up to now we have faced many challenges and sort of had to adapt in order to survive(never comprimising the music however)so this is just another challenge that we are dealing with.....choosing to follow through on a dream such as this one isnt easy so many sacrifices have had to be made and its important that the group has the same goals and focus in mind in order to actualize this dream of mine and ours....but rest assure my conviction is true and the dunes will prevail.....that being said im gonna miss matty although we sometimes butted heads and as far as im concerned misunderstood each other at times he a cool cat and we would not be where we are if it wasnt for him matt if youre reading this cheers!!!!

so in the interm we are very fortunate to have todd macdnoald sitting on drums...hes a great drummer and is fitting in welll with us....we actually just came back from newfoundland (st johns) todd came along........what a cool place friendly people and the girls out there who new? very pretty girls!!!!!
so we met up with the boys from out of options a fucking killer punk type emo kick ass band...first nightr we played at the republic cool venue we opened the frist night to a pretty good sized crowd the sound on stage was not the best but what r u gonna do right? half way thriugh the set we mentioned that we hadnt been screeched in yet and with in a few minutes members of the audience were up on stage and the screehing in ceremony had began (good times) back to out of options i cant say enough about this band these guys are good! all young dudes brilliant musicians and fun guys to party with....mikey thier guitarist has asked to play a little on the upcoming pullie project cd and it will be so.

george street holy fuck i thought i was in new orleans at mardigras that place is fucking nuts did you know that women in newfoundland out number men 3 to 1 its true

night two was at a place called the grumpy stump we rocked hard as did OoO and we partied like rockstars into the wee hours of the morning ....sunday we had off and found a cool part of town on water street where all the local musicians and artists hang out after my dinner of cod tongues and scrunchions (good stuff) we mosied on over to the rose & thistle got to chatting with local musicians a guy named blair harvey was playing a show ther that night great singer songer songwriter bob dylany arlo guthris type stuff at tleast to my ear great stuff and a nother fella elliot something from the novacs cool band blair asked me up to play a few acoustic numbers and i did indeed.....long story short great place great people food girls and pleny of beer and music make for a great time and thats what we got thanks to all my new frieds from the rock...cheers!!!!!!!
