ok so where do i begin well lets start with thursday night a groundbreaking night for the dunes as we got our first dose of radio play on the edge (hooray!)yeah! very cool , they played rio grande which is not going to be the single for the new record but at this point it was one of better mastered recordings, sure it was played just before midnight but hell we will take what ever we can get at this point, so i can check that goal off the list and proceed.
friday night we rehearsed and then me and chris and dana our manager went up to golfapalooza to check out sloan and the lowest of the low, who writes better pop songs than sloan?i dont know either they were really good? saturday i was out on a pub crawl which was out of control and ended up partying til sun up feeling it today feeling like shite today we have 4 days until the docks rocks show that we are really looking forward to if any of you out there need tickets free tickets that is email me and we can sort you out.

so tired been a long week rehearsing loads im off there again at six thirty, checked out the other bands websites that we are playing with it just so happens that one of the guys in doctor went to the same high school as me he was a bit older i think and if im correct his uncle is geddy lee from rush i remember hearing these things from back in the day, got a few books on taoism from a friend today he was telling me a bit about it so he lent me them, which hold methods for "cultivating a healthy mind and body" sounds good to me! right then time for a tea and a smoke, then rehearsal i hope to see u all at the docks, but youll be hearing from me before then bub eye

so were pretty pumped to be playing the docks with the trews, the waking eyes, oliver black, and doctor x, well lets say we are over the moon we had a really good rehearsal tonight, practice doesnt make perfect , perfect makes perfect, and thats what we are looking 4 for this show, so remember september 2nd the docks rock, oh yeah they even mentioned us on the edge we like that!

so then ?reading a cool book at the moment, called"a brief history of nearly everything" by a guy named bill bryson, interesting stuff! did you know that isaac newton had some eccentricities like one day he decided to stare at the sun for as long as he could just to see what would happen to his eyes? silly bugger!spent the next few days in darkness till they came back around, or there was the time he stuck a needle through his eye again just to see what would happen.this book is filled with interesting stories about great people throughout history and all the stuff inbetween, another thing i thought was cool was this imagine there was a planet with life on it like ours lets say 200 hundred light years away, now lets say they had telescopes that could check us out right now what they would see is probably the french revolution people in horse drawn carriages and so on because they would be seeing the light that the earth projected 200 years ago cause thats how long it would take to get thereWOW.
ok enough about that

i was in the studio yesterday working on vocal tracks for our upcoming amazing superlative outstanding debut disc which was cool got some good work done and a few heniekens emptied, matt our engineer not matt our drummer is doing an amazing astounding breathtaking job and its really starting to sound great, looks as if the release date will be sometime in september, we will have a pretty polished copy by the 15th of august that we will scrutinize for two weeks you know see how it sits with us and then make any changes add ons etc in early september.

big battle of the bands at the opera house this saturday im sure they are all going to be heavy punk bands (boo)
so we will standout
