So spring is here and i myself feel good when the sunshines and the weather warms something in me changes a switch is flipped and life seems beautiful again. Theres so much too look forward to at the moment and the future to quote Tom Petty is "wide open". Were all really buzzing about the record glowing really....we had a chance to play it to some of our close friends and family and although their opinion is slightly biased the reactions are not "i like it" they are more like "holy fuck!" so with that kind of enthusiasm in the air you can imagine how we feel. In the past generally with other recordings i soon tired and really almost rejected my past work after not too long, but this, this is different its been almost 4 years since socializing with life was made and in that time ive gone through alot personally (ah poor baby) and i think learned alot as a result, about myself about others and the world in general. A few of us were talking last night and the expression "human condition" came up alot as a way of describing its worth or feel. The thing is, is that everything boils to down to love and respect, you have nothing if you're not loved and its this that makes us feel makes happy makes us cry makes us laugh makes us miss someone makes us human.. get the picture? Im not even sure what im trying to say but i really excited for the world to hear the album the which is titled "subject to change", and if you know me or the band you may understand why this is such fitting title.
A friend of mine just lost his father to cancer a week ago and it really stirred up some memories of the loss of my own father to cancer some 8 years ago now. The reception was pretty intense and i found myself dropping out alot of tears. Its tough seeing someone you know hurt. I know we all will float away one day or something like that and thats just the way it is ....life = death, i believe thats what makes people love one another i think i have said this before, I mean if we all lived forever love would not be as precious would it? So if you love someone tell them because you never know when if you might get another chance. Speaking of cancer if any of you around we do a free benefit show every June for the Canadian cancer society's relay for life. The event is at Forest Hill Memorial Park the dets are on our site. So if youre up to it come on out and take part. Ok thats it for me tonight have a great week.
