holy shit where have i been...ive been abducted by fucking aliens cause i just looked at my computer and the last thing i remember was updating my blog and that was nearly 2 weeks ago....wow! they must have erased my memory and put a clone in my place here on earth..so...if i pissed anyone off in the last little while...not my fault wasnt me....must be some crazy u.v. lighting on the spaceships cause im tanned as fuck.....well turns out in my absence our label and manager has been working for us and we meaning the dunes are this close ...oh yeah you cant see what im doing but what im doing is putting my forefinger and thumb together just above my eye and im looking through the little gap that remains just short of me touching them together to illustrate how close i am to announcing a tour and its really fucking close need to confirm a few more things and then i will let you all know and its a good tour kinda dream like...yeah ive been calling for this one all me life...ok whatever more to come on this in time......hmmmm uh....thats all i got....oh yeah we played with the legend Derek Downham who sat in drums in Pauls absence so i want to thank him it was alot of fun he rocks but we very much miss our little drummer boy come home soon paulie come home soon and dont forget the absinthe.....ok i guess i got to catch up and see what i missed

wow friday was an excellent night great crowd great energy and great performances across the board from the jones on through to nurse the sea inside was very good aswell a really great sound and thier singer well is really good....for us i think for me anyway it may have been my favourite show to date i think were onto something here something really special and i think it eminates out to the audience and theres a great transfer of energy going on at shows....so thanks to al of you who came to support us it means more to us than you will ever know.

compromise well thats not something im willing to do when it comes to anything around the dunes and unfortunately its getting a little harder everyday because sometimes the people who work for and with us seem to think different things than we do which is ok i guess as long as its understood that really at the end of the day the dunes and only the dunes will decide whats best for the dunes.....as a dune what i want is to play 200 hundred shows a year because im sure once people see us they will be converted...it really is all about the music always has been were trying to do something great and in order to do that we really have to stick to our guns because sometimes people think they know whats best for you but have no clue about your vision.....good music comes from honesty and creativity its a very organic thing and then mix in some fine musicianship and great things can happen.....i think weve gotta go with our guts i think everyone should thats the only way....when someone tells you something is good or ok and you know its not youre not crazy youre probably just right anyway im rambling here....for the record we will never compromise our art..this is a promise as much as people may try to get us to.

Hey been in away in Mexico fro the last week surfing yip surfing fucking life changing stuff i almost feel like writing some jack johnson type songs....almost but note quite.....yeah so it was pretty amazing week many stories to tell to many for me to even get into right now definitly the most awesomeness came from surfing as a kid growing by the ocean i kinda messed with a board a few times but nothing serious its something ive often thought about giving a go and i think my years of metally riding waves helped me out ...i was up after the first half a dozen waves and craving that feeling of exhileration and freedom from that first time up...im no fucking pro for sure but i could see my self going on surf holidays in the future it was a great week got to hang with my bro aswell and met some interesting people...i will post a few pics when i get them from my friend she was the official photographer.....so now what? well time to get ready for a summer of rocknroll...yip very excited got lots of shows lined up....on a sour note the video we shot for calling all cars is something of a bust a saw it monday and in its current state is nowhere close for to being ready for public veiwing...unfortunately as i suspected all along somehow the idea was lost and im not sure it can be saved and im really fucking dissapointed by the whole situation...so fridays show will not be a video release party/show however it will be great as great as we can make it
